Yamaha U3 Upright PIanoAUD0.00Out of stockThe Yamaha U3 has been replaced by the significantly improved YUS3PE. Yamaha built the U3 model for over 40 years so be aware if you are looking at one it could be quite old. Also be aware that if you are looking at one in a store, it most likely has been brought into Australia as a second hand piano. the problem with that is that it means it was built for life in Japan, where it is much more moist than in Australia. Over 2 or 3 years, as it dries out, the timber parts in the piano will shrink. it's a Yamaha so it will not fall apart, but it will not perform like you would expect a Yamaha to perform. if you are looking at a used U3 in a store, as that is your budget, then consider the new Yamaha U1J. While 10cm shorter than the U3, it's still large enough to sound good, and as it's made specifically for Australian conditions you will have none of the problems you will experience with the old U3 you may be considering.
