Yamaha Oboes have long been regarded as fine instruments, but they never had a student model with a Low B flat key. That has all changed. At a time when everyone else went up in price because of the falling Aussie dollar Yamaha brought out a new model, with the low B flat key the Yamaha YOB241B Oboe and dropped their price!
We do not currently have this model in stock but it can be ordered and usually takes about a week to arrive in our Perth store
Yamaha YOB241B Oboe NEW MODEL with Low Bb Key at Music Park
This is a more economical ABS resin body oboe which features a simplified Conservatoire system, making it is easier to play for beginners. The surprisingly precise intonation permits students to concentrate more on developing their own musical nuances. But there is nothing 'student-like' about the rich and colorful sound. The 241 features a characteristically warm oboe tone which sounds very close to that of a professional instrument, so even a complete beginner will quickly develop a beautiful tone. Now features extended low Bb key.
A fingerplate for the right index finger provides better reach and comfort for smaller hands.
The 241 features a special wood-like matte finish on their ABS resin bodies.
